Service Description

We have the equipment to re-programme or adjust hearing aids sourced from all the manufacturers (Phonak, Unitron, Oticon, Starkey, GNResouns, Signia, Rexton, Bernafon). If your hearing aids no longer seem to provide as much benefit as they used to, it's quite possible that you need a fresh hearing test and/or your hearing aids require service and adjustment. Please make sure to mention the type and model of your hearing aids when you book this service. Also if you received second-hand hearing aids we can help you to get them cleaned, serviced and programmed for your hearing loss. What to expect from a repair and reprogramming session? Just like any electronic device, hearing aids require a service every 6-12 months. Regular service and maintenance might include cleaning or replacing the filters, inspecting the microphones, replacing tubes and domes and making sure that they are in their best working condition. We will make sure that your hearing aids feel comfortable, fit correctly and sound natural. In this session, we also conduct an in-situ test of your hearing to make sure that the gains and the prescription formula of the hearing aids are the best fit for your hearing levels. This adjustment (or reprogramming) would ensure that the aids sound clear, natural and loud enough. What is the outcome of this service? - An inspection and a full service of your hearing aids - A fresh hearing test if required - Reprogramming your hearing aids What if my hearing aid(s) need to be sent to the manufacturer for repair? In the event that your hearing aids are faulty and repairing them in the clinic is not possible, they need to be sent to the manufacturers. In such an event, we will do our best to provide a cost estimate (if outside warranty), so you can decide the next course of action. HearingNow will take care of sending and receiving the hearing aids to the corresponding manufacturers for the hearing aids purchased from us free of charge. A new-patient registration fee of £150 may be applicable. What if I need a pair of new earmoulds? A fresh set of ear impressions can be taken to be sent to the lab for ear tips or ear moulds in this session (separate fees apply). Why choose HearingNow for reprogramming your hearing aids? - Repair and adjustment of your hearing aids by qualified hearing aid audiologists - Service provided in the comfort of your home - Affordable fees
