From the start, we dedicated a day per week to home visits and hearing care services in SE London, but now the service area has been expanded to all of London. Who could benefit from a home visit hearing care appointment?
Patients who are housebound or people with limited mobility may benefit from receiving a professional hearing care service at home. Also, some people may be working from home and be extremely limited in time so receiving a high-quality audiology range of services could support their busy schedule.
How long does the home visit hearing services take?
Our home services hearing care are scheduled for 1 to 1.5 hours.

Who will be providing home visit hearing care services?
Our audiology and hearing care services will be in the comfort of your home in London by experienced and registered audiologists.
Do you visit care homes in London for hearing tests and ear wax microsuction?
Yes, If your loved one lives in a care home, a resident's home, or a hospital we could send our audiologist to provide mobile hearing care services including microsuction and ear wax removal at his or her comfort.
What if the home visit microsuction ear wax removal takes longer than one session?
Applying olive oil to the blockage of earwax will make it soft and ready to be taken out comfortably. In the event that a follow-up home visit is required, you'll be asked to apply olive oil for a week and our audiologist will visit you again in a week from the initial appointment. An additional service charge of £50 is applicable for a follow-up home visit.
Do you send a referral letter to my GP in case of an ear infection?
If our audiologist attending you in a home visit appointment notices any referrable condition such as infection in the outer, or middle ear or any other referrable case a referral letter to your GP will be issued. You will be copied to such a referral letter so you can follow up with your GP. There will be no additional charge for issuing a referral letter to your GP.
Do you do microsuction of fungal infection in the ear?
Cleaning the fungal infection off your ear canal prior to applying antibiotic spray is a proven technique to speed up the treatment. If our audiologist notices the presence of a fungal infection in your ear canal, a video otoscopy will be conducted to show you the condition of the ear canal. It will be entirely up to you to stop the procedure and reach out to your GP, or to ask our audiologist to clean up the fungal infection.
Will my home be quiet enough for a home visit hearing test?
Unless your home is located on a very busy road or junction, closing the doors and windows of your home usually provides a suitable environment for a hearing test in terms of noise level.
Would I receive a report after a hearing test at home?
Yes, you will receive a full audiology report right after your hearing test appointment at your residence.

Can you do reprogramming of my hearing aids during a home visit in London?
Yes, absolutely. Our audiologist will have the programming equipment to program your hearing aids right after the hearing test at your residence. We can reprogram and fine-tune all major hearing aid makes and brands including Widex, Oticon, Phonak, Signia, Rexton, Resound GN and Starkey, There will be no additional charge for reprogramming your hearing aids if you have already paid for a hearing test.
What hearing aid repair services can be done in a home visit service?
We can service your hearing aids, replace a broken or faulty receiver, electronically test the rechargeable hearing aids, and fine-tune them for you at your home. If there is a faulty electronics we could help you send the faulty hearing aid to the manufacturer for repair. We could obtain a repair quote from the manufacturer right at the appointment.
What is the cost of repairing my hearing aids at home?
Please see our Repair and Reprogramming of Hearing Aids - Home Visit for applicable service fees. Please note that the cost of spare parts e.g. replacement of a faulty receiver may be applicable that will be outside the scope of the service fee.
What if you need to send my hearing aid for repair to the manufacturer?
If your hearing aids are faulty and need to be sent to the manufacturer we could obtain a quote for you from the manufacturer right at the appointment and arrange the repair. The aids will be mailed back to you when repaired.
